Description

• Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics employing standardized assessments alongside observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy interventions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work hand-in-hand with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop unified care strategies.
• Educate patients and families to promote progress beyond the clinical sessions.
• Support with occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, guaranteeing a seamless treatment journey.
• Keep comprehensive and timely documentation consistent with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Remain updated on advancements in the field through continuous education and peer collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within 30 days of employment.
