Description

- Create individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
- Deliver tailored speech therapy interventions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Work hand-in-hand with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop unified care strategies.
- Educate patients and families to promote progress beyond the clinical sessions.
- Support with occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, guaranteeing a seamless treatment journey.
- Keep comprehensive and timely documentation consistent with state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Remain updated on advancements in the field through continuous education and peer collaboration.
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
- State license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within 30 days of employment.
