Description

- Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise integrated care plans.
- Provide education for patients and families to bolster progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Contribute to occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatments, ensuring consistent continuity of care.
- Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in the field through continuing education and peer collaboration.
Education
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary within 30 days of starting.
