iHire Product Update – May 2026

May’s iHire product update has arrived, and we’ve been putting more work into making our freelance and independent contractor marketplace even more intuitive.

Read on to learn about the marketplace’s new templated milestones and notifications as well as improvements to company profiles and revamped pages for job ads and EDU Solutions.

Templated Milestones for Freelance Offers

When creating an offer for a freelance candidate, you can now include previously entered milestones instead of manually entering them again, saving you time and effort.

Simply click the “Use previously entered milestones” link when drafting the offer, and you’ll see a list of all milestones you’ve created. Choose the applicable milestones, and they’ll be added to your offer instantly.

In addition, your most recently entered milestones for a specific freelance job are now automatically added to any subsequent offer sent for that same job, giving you even more hiring agility.

Notifications for Freelance Job & Candidate Updates

Now, you’ll never miss an update on an offer status, new applications, and other freelance candidate activity. We’ve implemented several notifications on your iHire dashboard to keep you in the loop so you can quickly take action.

You’ll be alerted immediately via your Notification Center (at the top of your dashboard) when you receive a new proposal, if an applicant rejects or accepts your offer, when a candidate updates a milestone, and more time-sensitive events.

You’ll also see a red dot next to the “Jobs” tab, agreements, candidate names, and jobs as appropriate to alert you of new activity as you navigate your dashboard. Candidates will receive similar notifications, so your freelance engagements keep moving forward.

Did you know you can include the benefits you offer in your free company profile to help attract top talent and grow your employer brand? Try out our new-and-improved benefits selector to showcase your unique employee perks – choose from our list and/or add your own custom benefits. (To update your profile, select “Company Profiles” on your dashboard, then select “Manage” for the appropriate organization.)
