SPEECH PATHOLOGIST 2 - Part-Time

The Position

Under general direction, Speech Pathologists provide specialized therapeutic services involving the measurement, testing, identification, diagnosis, prediction, treatment, case management, counseling, coaching and supporting of individuals with communication needs and disorders; deficiencies in sensory, perceptual, motor, cognitive and social skills necessary for communication; and sensorimotor dysfunctions of the mouth, pharynx and larynx.

Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training. The Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) is currently recruiting for a part-time Speech Pathologist 2 in Las Vegas, Nevada. This recruitment may be used to fill current and future vacancies as they occur in the following program: Nevada Early Intervention Services (NEIS).

Speech Pathologists provide individual and group clinical, speech and feeding services for individuals from birth to three years old who have, or who may be at risk for, developmental delays, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, or related conditions, and social, emotional, and/or behavioral disorders.
