Description

• Conduct assessments for patients across various age groups, utilizing both standardized tests and observational methodologies.
• Create individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate goals and enduring needs in communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to curate well-rounded care plans.
• Educate patients and families about therapy protocols to encourage progress beyond clinical settings.
• Support occasional inpatient evaluations and speech therapy interventions, ensuring seamless care during every phase of treatment.
• Keep precise documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay informed about advancements in the field through continuous education and partnership with peers.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
