Description

• Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and elderly demographics using a combination of standardized methods and observational practices.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies aimed at meeting both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy interventions emphasizing communication, language development, fluency, voice, and swallowing rehabilitation.
• Partner collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to construct integrated care plans.
• Provide educational resources to patients and families, empowering them to continue progress outside of the clinic.
• Support with occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions, ensuring holistic continuity of care along every step of the treatment path.
• Keep meticulous records that comply with local, federal, and institutional guidelines.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of advancements in the field through continuing education and team discussions.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA-certification is pending.

Certifications

• Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be secured within 30 days of joining the team.
