Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patient populations from children to older adults utilizing standardized assessments along with observational methodologies.
• Formulate tailored treatment plans that align with both immediate goals and long-lasting needs in communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Administer one-on-one speech therapy sessions, concentrating on elements of communication, language skills, fluency, vocalization, and swallowing difficulties.
• Coordinate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members, to establish integrated care plans.
• Equip patients and their families with essential knowledge to maintain progress beyond the clinical environment.
• Participate in sporadic inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless care process throughout the healing journey.
• Document patient progress and therapy outcomes thoroughly, adhering to all relevant organizational and legal standards.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if you are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
