Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations for patients in pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized assessments and observations.
  • Create tailored treatment plans addressing immediate goals as well as enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Join forces with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to design collaborative care plans.
  • Provide educational resources to patients and families to bolster progress outside of the therapy environment.
  • Assist with occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure comprehensive continuity of care.
  • Maintain detailed and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Engage in continuous education and peer collaboration to uphold the latest advancements within the field.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within 30 days of hiring.
