The Manager of Rehabilitation Services oversees the Rehabilitation Services unit including Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Occupational Therapy. Provides direct patient care when necessary.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values.

  • Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.

  • Perform acts that are within the scope of practice as defined by the applicable licensing board.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of rehabilitation services policies and budget.

  • Ensure that services comply with appropriate regulations and quality of care standards.

  • Review examinations, diagnostic test results, and treatment plans to recommend proper treatment as necessary.

  • Monitor patient volume, feedback, and satisfaction.

  • Provide care in acute, inpatient rehab, and/or outpatient settings.

  • Manage day to day requirements of assigned rehab/therapy setting(s) to ensure compliance with regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education and Experience

  • Education commensurate with license requirements at date of issue.

Required License/Certifications/Registrations

  • Current licensure in Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy through the Kansas Board of Healing Arts.

  • Current BLS/CPR card from approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation, whichever comes first.

  • Kansas Driver's License (if position requires driving)

  • Auto Insurance equal to or greater than the Kansas Insurance requirements (if position requires driving)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 1-3 years of leadership or management experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Advanced knowledge of therapy principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Effective motivational and strategic leadership skills.
  • Multi-tasking and prioritization skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

With or without accommodation.

  • Medium Work: Occasionally exerting up to 50 lbs - constantly exerting up to 10 lbs. 26-50% of the day may be standing or walking.
