This contract position spans the 2025-2026 school year, requiring a dedicated approach to address the diverse communication needs of a high-needs school. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate and provide therapy for students with speech sound disorders, including articulation and fluency issues. Assess and treat language disorders affecting both receptive and expressive communication. Support students with social communication challenges, facilitating effective interactions. Deliver services for cognitive-communication disorders, focusing on memory and problem-solving. Assess and treat swallowing disorders to ensure safe feeding practices in the school. Implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for students with significant language impairments. Collaborate with educators, families, and specialists to integrate communication goals into the curriculum. Maintain documentation such as evaluation reports and IEPs in compliance with regulations. Qualifications: Delaware Professional License with certification from the Department of Education. Experience with AAC and dysphagia is a plus.
