Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Provides respiratory care in critical care, inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings. Work is performed in accordance with physician orders or protocols. Maintains accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides respiratory care according to Marshall's standards of practice.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Graduate of a respiratory care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
Current California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from The American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics or the American Heart Association required.
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from The American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from The American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
Must maintain current NBRC credentials.
Knowledge/Experience:
All aspects of respiratory care including emergency room and intensive care settings as well as labor and delivery and neonatal care.
Knowledge of human growth and development to modify care to age and development status.
