The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) seeks a caring and compassionate applicant for the role of Occupational Therapist II (OT II). The OT II is a position that works with individuals with developmental disabilities. Providesoccupationaltherapy consultationin the formof:evaluationand assessmentof individualneedsby administering tests, measurements,andevaluationsusing standardizedor-recommended procedures-to-establish or revise specifics to individual treatment. Plans,develops,andadministersvariedoccupational therapyservicesthatsupportindividuals'needsinsuchvarious settings asresidences, dayprograms/worksites,provider agencies, privatehomes, andothersites. Providesstafftraininginself-feedingskills;mayprovidetrainingintheareaofdysphagia(asappropriateaccording to level oftraining andexpertise);follow up toevaluation recommendations,ergonomics, joint protection, energy conservation; and task analysis/teachingtechniques. Develops treatmentplans, guidelines,and ISP documentationfor individualsin CRS andTCS as neededand according to appropriate timelines. Participatesin continuing educationprogramsby attending conferences,seminars, andworkshops to promote professional growth and expertise.
