We are looking for fun, energetic people to join our Recreation Team at

Robles Ranch community center providing recreation programs and

activities for all ages.The Recreation Aide assists in the daily

operation of recreational activities, including sports, crafts, and

games; maintains facility cleanliness and order; provides information to

the public about programs; handles cash transactions and prepares

reports; and supports various recreational events and activities.

**Essential Functions:**

classification may include any of the following tasks, knowledge,

incumbents of this class. Work assignments may vary depending on the

by the supervisor.

- Assists in overseeing any one of several recreation activities, such

as sports, dance, twirling, crafts and table games;

- Assists in operation of leagues, tournaments, meets, and the daily

programmed activities;

- Interprets and explains game rules and referees and umpires ball

games;

- Keeps recreation facility in a clean and orderly condition;

- Issues receipts;

- Prepares cash reports;

- Gives information to the public regarding recreation facilities and

programs;

- Shows movies;

- Maintains projection equipment;

- Tells or reads stories to children;

- Maintains attendance and other records and prepares reports.

minimum knowledge and skills.**

**Preferred Qualifications: (Be specific in describing your experience

- Experience providing recreational activities.

- Experience coaching youth sports.

- Experience working with active adults.

- Experience working in a daycare setting.

- Experience teaching classes in a recreation or school setting.

Pima County Human Resources Department reserves the right to admit to

the selection process only those candidates that meet the minimum

qualifications. All applications will be assessed based on an evaluation

of the listed education and experience. Candidates meeting the minimum

qualifications may be further evaluated/scored against any advertised

Preferred Qualifications. The hiring authority will interview and select

the successful candidate from a referral list provided by Human

Resources. Addi tional assessments/testing may be required as part of the
