Wage Range: $31.16 - $49.85 per hour

Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Who We Are EvergreenHealths Acute Care/Inpatient Rehabilitation department is comprised of a dynamic interdisciplinary team serving adult/geriatric patients and their families on the Greater Eastside since 1979. We employ licensed Physical and Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistants, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, Speech-Language Pathologists, and Rehabilitation Aides. EvergreenHealth's Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) named among Washington state's top six rehabilitation facilities by Newsweek for 2024 hosts a 14-bed inpatient unit with a focus on acute rehabilitation for patients who suffer from stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, complex neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, multiple trauma, amputation and other injuries or disorders. Job Summary:
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) on the Rehabilitation Services and Inpatient units is responsible to provide, in coordination with other team members, treatment programs designed to return patients to their optimum functional level. Supervision must be performed by a registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) on a weekly basis. Primary Duties

1. Carries out the treatment plan established by an OTR and notifies OTR of changes in residents condition or needs.
2. Provides occupational therapy intervention based on the individualized treatment plan and established priorities. Assumes responsibility for initiating changes in procedure and techniques as it relates to individual needs of the resident.
3. Intervention may include the need to design, fabricate, select, and fit prosthetic, orthotic and self-help devices, per treatment plan of OTR.
4. Accountable for following the guidelines for attendance, punctuality and overall dependability. Accountable for effective performance and follow-through of all assigned responsibilities and for completing responsibilities within designated (or agreed upon) timeframes. Completes responsibilities in a manner consistent with organizational policy, goals and values.
5. Responsible for the Accountabilities associated with this position in support of the organization.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.

License, Certification, Education or Experience: REQUIRED for the position:
Licensed Occupational Therapist Assistant in the State of Washington
Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire DESIRED for the position:
2 years in acute care and/or rehabilitation center experience
Membership in a professional organization
Certification in area of specialty
