BETTER TOGETHER .5 FTE - 20 hours per week ThePhysical Therapist engages in the practice of Physical Therapy asdefined by Wisconsin Statutes and as required to meet the PhysicalTherapy service needs of GHC-SCW members. The Physical Therapist willplan and administer professional physical therapy treatments to restorefunction, relieve pain and prevent or minimize disability. The incumbentworks under the general direction, guidance and supervision of thePhysical and Occupational Therapy Manager. The incumbent knows andabides by all Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin(GHC-SCW) organizational and departmental policies, sets personalstandards and strives for high quality work in completing assignments,performs job duties in a timely manner, and represents the organizationin a positive manner.The incumbent understands our Mission, Vision andCommon Values (stated below) and is committed to promote these values inbehavior and attitude. JOB SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor, Masters ofScience degree, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accreditedcollege or university required. Licensed as a Physical Therapist in theState of Wisconsin required. In the event of a temporary Wisconsinlicense (locum tenens), permanent license must be issued within a yearof employment. Minimum of one (1) year of clinical physical therapyexperience preferred. Possession of or eligibility for a validHealthcare Provider CPR/AED certificate is required. Employee mustobtain certification within four (4) months of employment. Excellentcustomer service skills required. Strong interpersonal skills. Abilityto be culturally sensitive and work with a diverse patient population.Excellent verbal and written communication skills including listeningboth in-person and on the phone required. Excellent assessment skillsrequired. Knowledge of interviewing practices and techniques used inorder to gather information. Ability to recognize and identify medicalsymptoms and problems required. Demonstrated intuitive, scientific, andproblem-solving skills required. Ability to educate patients and/orfamilies as to the nature of disease and to provide instruction onproper care, treatments and follow-up. Ability to maintain quality,safety and /or infection control standards.
