Respiratory Therapist - Travel Assignment

Required Education & Credentials:
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy (minimum)
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
- Illinois State License
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP-MHC (Neonatal Resuscitation Program - Memorial Hospital of Carbondale)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides physician-ordered respiratory care while maintaining close communication with nursing and medical teams.
- Evaluates patient outcomes and adjusts care plans in coordination with a multidisciplinary team.
- Educates patients and caregivers about respiratory conditions and treatments, ensuring full understanding of discharge instructions.
- Assumes assignments in other hospital units when needed.
- Acts as a clinical role model, sharing knowledge and mentoring staff and students.
- Develops, delivers, and evaluates the effectiveness of respiratory therapy interventions.
