0.5 FTE Speech Language Pathologist - SLP Job Description 0.5 FTE Special Education Assistive Technology/Augmentative and Alternative Communication on Special Assignment - See below for job description Details ---- AT/AAC Job Description Details Purpose: Identify, assess, and support students in Special Education who require assistive technology support per IEP requirements. Build and engage Special Education certified and classified staff in learning opportunities through focused days, optional opportunities, and asynchronous tools. Build and engage district certified and classified staff in learning opportunities centered around Special Education. Reports to: Director of Special Education Nature & Scope: Team within and outside departments to support learning and growth both specific to assistive technology and more widely to district-identified areas of need through consultation, professional development, creating concrete materials, and assessment. Essential Duties: Assistive Technology: Lead assistive technology supports in Special Education and collaborate with AAC specialist on district maintenance and growth around assistive technology. Consult and collaborate with staff to support students with assistive technology needs Grow district capacity for assistive technology review and implementation Foster learning for all staff around assistive technology through in-person, asynchronous, and consultative professional development Partner with general education to monitor and support tool use and permissions Assess assistive technology needs for students in special education Guide purchasing for assistive technology Partner with district testing to support proper state testing implementation. Co-develop Special Education Bulletin content
