Job Description:

SUMMARY

Provides a full range of program support for the Massage Therapy Program and Clinic.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Gives general information to prospective students and determines which students must meet with the Program Manager for specific academic and career counseling

Assembles and disseminates prospective student packets and tracks statistics on packets sent

Assists in tracking academic progress of prospective and current students and ensuring that prospective students comply with all paperwork rules and regulation

Assists in the collection of information required by the State Medical Board of Ohio for accreditation including collection of syllabi, midterm and final exams from all faculty

Monitors the Medical Board web-site and utilizes related content and documentation as directed

Assists in notarization and certification of paperwork for state licensure test

Assists in the collection of data on marketing, scheduling, and other information needed by college

Responsible for the completion and facilitation of the adjunct faculty student evaluations each semester

Answers phone, makes copies, delivers and picks up orders from the copy center, types letters, memos and other communication; Checks e-mail, mailbox, and telephone messages and responds to messages in a timely manner

Assists in file maintenance for program and student clinic, entering data into spreadsheets and databases, and supply inventory and ordering

Assists with program events such as prospective student orientation and alumni events

Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role providing office or program support

Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

Possess basic knowledge of office/program support concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations

Basic-level proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Ability to confidentially and discreetly handle subject matters requiring privacy and sensitivity

Works accurately with great attention to detail

Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to prioritize/handle multiple tasks and work with deadlines in a dynamic environment with limited supervision

Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate departmental needs as directed

Possess sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population

Associate's degree in a related field

However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, pamphlets, books, etc.;

Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the worksite

Non-Set Rate Non-Bargaining Part-Time Position: This is a Part-Time Non-Bargaining Unit Position, Grade 06, with a Minimum Hiring Rate of: $17.00/hour.

Special Note: If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1 Recruitment and Selection Procedure.
