Bulletin 2431 Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) at the Braintree Integrated Preschool

The Braintree Public Schools seeks to hire a full-time Speech and Language Pathologist to work in the Integrated Preschool, which is staffed by a large, interdisciplinary team serving students ages 3- 5 in an integrated preschool setting. Students present with language differences ranging from articulation errors to autism spectrum disorders in the language acquisition phase. Speech and language sessions are conducted in and out of the classroom setting individually and in small groups. Experience working with students who are nonverbal or have developmental delays is preferred. Some students utilize augmentative communication devices and systems. Must have appropriate licensure and be MA DESE certified. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Conducting Speech and Language evaluations and interpreting results, developing recommendations and writing IEP goals, and participating in Team meetings;
• Designing and implementing individual and small group speech and language therapy for students with identified disabilities
• Monitoring progress towards IEP goals and collect data for progress reports;
• Collaborating with Integrated Preschool school staff
• Provide consultation services to parents/caregivers as needed.
