Speech Pathologist

**Providence is calling a Speech Pathologist (Rehab Therapy Slss Shmc St, Day Shift, 0.0 FTE) to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. **In this position you will have the following responsibilities:**

+ Complete self-evaluations on Certificate of Clinical Competency and Non-Clinical Evaluation.

+ Plan and administer patient treatments.

+ Meet productivity goals per department standards.

+ Effectively interact with all staff to coordinate patient care, promote continuity of care and interpret the plan of care.

+ In the course of providing direct patient care, be accountable for accurate and timely documentation.

+ Demonstrate clinical skills and professional judgment.

+ Maintain patient safety and work cooperatively with support staff.

+ Assess data reflective of the patients status and interpret the appropriate information needed (described in department or program policies and procedures).

+ Demonstrate self-direction and professionalism by participating in educational activities, utilizing department personnel resources in dealing with patients in restorative, functional and preventative therapeutic programs.

**Required qualifications for this position include:**

+ Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement

+ Washington State licensed or eligible

+ Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) certification for the Healthcare Provider **OR** obtain within the first 30 days of employment

+ Candidates for CCC may apply, and will function under the supervision of a certified SLP per ASHA guidelines for CFY

**Preferred qualifications for this position include:**

+ Speech Language Pathology experience

+ MBS and/or FEES experience

+ Medical Speech Language Pathology (SLP) experience is a huge plus
