The Hand Therapist will practice within definedstandards of care and direct the practice of support staff in order toachieve the patient\'s functional goals. Responsibilities Patient Care\*Evaluates the patient by performing chart review, interpreting tests andmeasurements appropriate to discipline and patient diagnosis. Performstreatments and patient care activities in a timely manner followingappropriate protocols and guidelines. Develops appropriate plan of carethat include goals and home instructions in conjunction with other teammembers, patient and family. Delegates selected treatment to supportivepersonnel with assumption of responsibility for care of patient andcontinuing supervision of supportive personnel. Documentation\* Plansspecific measures to meet assessed learning needs and documents inpatient record. Presents information clearly and in a manner appropriateto the level of patient and family understanding. Implements thetreatment plan and evaluates and records the patient responses to thetreatment sessions. Participates in the development of individualdischarge plans that are responsive to patient/family concerns. Able torevise/update plan based on assessment. Completes documentation perdepartment policy.- Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee\'s area of responsibility. Ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates. Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame. Completes charges in a timely manner and according to proper procedures. Meets productivity goals according to departmental standards. Adheres to regulatory and organizational standards affecting patient care and safetyQualifications Education Bachelor\'s degree- RequiredMaster\'s degree-Preferred Certificates and Licensure Current Physical Therapist orOccupational Therapist in the state of Arizona- Prefer- Certified HandTherapist (CHT)- RequiredBLS (American Heart Association)\Experience Healthcare is a rapidly changing environment and technologyis integrated into almost all aspects of patient care. Computers andother electronic devices are utilized across the organization andthroughout each department.
