Overview Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation at Baylor University Medical Center Dallas, TX Speech Language Pathologist Acute - NICU PRN PRN Rates: $60/hr Applicants must have at least 1 year of full-time neonatal intensive care unit experience with demonstrated competence in all gestational ages. Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC) is a distinguished teaching hospital located near downtown Dallas and is continually recognized as a top hospital in the nation. BUMC provides multiple clinical specialties, including Level 1 trauma services, transplantation, Level III NICU, left-ventricular assist (LVAD) implantation, Stroke Center and a dedicated cancer hospital. Therapists have the opportunity to rotate positions between teams, providing the opportunity to expand their treatment skills across a variety of diagnoses and to develop clinical specializations. Responsibilities Specific Duties Evaluate assigned patients and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs. Coordinate treatment program in conjunction with other clinical/therapeutic services as available community resources. Develop comprehensive goals for patient treatment to maximize patient outcomes and return to community activities. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association or eligibility for Certification pending professional experience required.
