A licensed Speech Language Pathologist is sought to join a supportive school community in Bolingbrook, IL, serving students from PreK through 5th grade. This full-time position provides a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the communication development of young learners.
Location:
Bolingbrook, IL (Approximately 2 miles between two K-5 schools)
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide treatment for students with speech and language impairments.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with case managers and psychologists to support students' overall development.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress.
- Deliver therapy sessions focused on individual student goals, ensuring effective communication strategies.
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois state Speech Language Pathologist license.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, although not required.
- ASHA certification is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
- Ability to manage a caseload of 30-35 students primarily with speech impairments.
