Evaluate student's needs by conducting functional speech/language assessments for eligibility. Maintains confidentiality and accuracy of student records and submits reports as required for progress reporting, annual review, initial and/or reevaluation of TEAM meetings, Department of Education (DOE) mandates, Medicaid reimbursement and Civil Rights Data Collections. Create assessment reports and summarize for the TEAM the student's progress, acting as a consultant to the TEAM to make recommendations that are integrated into school and classroom goals. Develops and implements therapy plans in accordance with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. Adhere to all federal, state, local laws and policies as they pertain to teaching, IDEA and Civil Rights. Interface with agencies, hospitals or clinics to obtain student records or refer eligible students, when needed. Assists in selection of assistive technology and/or related equipment/supplies/accommodations for specific therapy programs. Attend staff meetings, conferences, workshops and professional development activities as directed by the Director of Student Services and/ or Building Principal. Inform Building Principal/ staff on progress of assigned students. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services and/ or Building Principal.

Job Requirements
Master's Degree from an accredited college or university. Valid Massachusetts licensure for Speech/Language. Thorough understanding of IDEA and related laws. Demonstrated ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as evidenced below by experiences in schools and coursework.
