As a Speech-Language Pathologist, your methodical approach will be crucial in fostering student communication development and academic participation. Your responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough and accurate assessments to identify speech and language needs, adhering strictly to established guidelines and procedures.
- Developing, implementing, and continually monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) . You'll ensure all goals are specific, measurable, and consistently addressed.
- Providing direct and consultative therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade, applying structured and repeatable interventions.
- Collaborating effectively and clearly with school staff and families , ensuring consistent application of communication strategies across all environments.
- Maintaining meticulous, accurate, and timely documentation of all services rendered, observations, and student progress. Your records will always be comprehensive and compliant.
- Contributing organized insights and data-driven recommendations during IEP meetings, presenting information clearly and concisely.
- Rigorously applying evidence-based practices to ensure all therapeutic interventions are consistent, effective, and align with professional standards.
We're looking for a highly organized, responsible, and detail-oriented Speech-Language Pathologist who meets these qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist License.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is required.
- At least two years of school-based SLP experience is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with established educational procedures and protocols.
- Excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and clear, precise communication abilities.
