School Based Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for upcoming 23-24 Academic Year

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract An opportunity is currently open for the position of Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) within a local school district for the upcoming academic year. The SLPA will work closely with an SLP-CCC or supervisor to assess and evaluate speech, language, and communication disorders. Collaboration with the director supervisor will be essential in developing treatment plans. The caseload will be determined by the school district. The director is currently accepting applications and conducting interviews for individuals interested in the position. Responsibilities associated with this role include diagnosing and treating communication disorders, conducting screenings to identify speech or voice disorders, educating patients and their families on speech disorders and their underlying causes, as well as maintaining comprehensive records of patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress. Candidates should possess prior experience in an SLPA setting, with preference given to those who have experience in a school environment. A bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field is required, along with a valid SLPA certification license. This is a full-time, contractual position.
