School Based Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the Academic Year

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract A local school district currently has an opening for the position of Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for the upcoming academic year. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside an SLP-CCC or supervisor to assess and evaluate speech, language, and communication disorders. Collaborating with the director supervisor will be crucial in developing treatment plans, and the caseload will be determined by the school district. The director is currently accepting applications and conducting interviews for individuals interested in this position. As an SLPA, your responsibilities will include diagnosing and treating communication disorders, conducting screenings to identify speech or voice disorders, providing education to patients and their families regarding speech disorders and their underlying causes, and maintaining comprehensive records of patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress. Prior experience in an SLPA setting, with preference for school environment experience.

Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field.

Valid SLPA certification license.
