GENERAL NATURE OF POSITION The Department of Audiology at San Jose State University is seeking a qualified and dedicated Part-Time Audiologist for the Summer and Fall 2025 semesters. The Audiologist will support clinical and research activities, including hearing evaluations, hearing aid fittings, data collection, subject recruitment, and study coordination for ongoing projects. This role provides a valuable opportunity to work alongside leading experts in the field of audiology while contributing to impactful research and patient care. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Clinical Support Conduct hearing evaluations, including audiometry. Assist with hearing aid fittings, programming, and follow-up care. Document clinical findings accurately and securely. Research Support Support data collection and management for research projects. Assist in subject recruitment and study coordination. Document research findings and maintain compliance with protocols. Communication & Collaboration Communicate with patients regarding test results and hearing health. Collaborate with the research team to ensure seamless clinical operations. Maintenance & Compliance Maintain clinic space, equipment, and supplies in compliance with safety standards QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Qualifications PhD in Hearing science or related field; or Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.)/Master's in Audiology Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to handle confidential information responsibly Additional Requirements Proficiency in audiological assessment tools and software Experience with research protocols is a plus Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Desired Accomplishments Prior experience in a clinical or research setting related to Audiology Physical Demands Ability to perform hearing assessments, including standing and sitting for extended periods.
