About the Role: The Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) supports licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in the delivery of speech and language services to students. Under the supervision of an SLP, the SLPA assists with implementing treatment plans, conducting therapy sessions, documenting student progress, and supporting communication goals as outlined in each student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP). The SLPA plays a vital role in enhancing students' communication skills, contributing to their academic and social-emotional success. About Us: McKinley is a non-profit organization serving our communities with education, social services, and counseling. We offer educational services in our non-public school where we work with local school districts to educate students with learning disabilities. A typical day includes: Implement evidence based speech-language therapy sessions based on students' Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals under the supervision and guidance of a licensed SLP. Provide direct support to students in both individual and group settings to address speech and language deficits. Work closely with teachers, support staff, and school teams to integrate speech-language strategies into classroom instruction and student learning plans. Maintain accurate records of student progress, assist with data collection, and provide regular updates to the supervising SLP The ideal candidate for this role will posses the following: Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license in good standing Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field is preferred Previous experience as an SLPA, preferably in a school-based setting Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred.
