An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) specializing in school and healthcare settings, supporting students in an elementary school environment located in Hanford, CA. This full-time contract position spans the 2025-2026 school year, operating Monday through Friday with an 8-hour workday starting between 7:30 and 7:45 AM, tailored according to site requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language assessments for preschool through 5th-grade students to identify specific needs
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP guidelines
- Providing direct SLPA services, supporting speech therapy goals and interventions across an average caseload of 50 students
- Collaborating with speech-language pathologists and educational teams to monitor progress and adjust plans accordingly
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field
- Active SLPA license, demonstrating current credentials and compliance with state regulations
- Experience working with preschool through elementary-age populations within educational settings
- Ability to maintain consistent, professional communication and documentation throughout the therapy process
