Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Technician (PT Tech) to join our dynamic healthcare team in Cypress. In this role, you will work collaboratively with physical therapists to provide exceptional patient care and support therapeutic treatments.

  • Assist physical therapists in delivering patient treatments and therapeutic exercises
  • Apply and monitor therapeutic modalities including hot/cold packs
  • Maintain and sanitize therapy equipment and treatment areas
  • Guide patients through prescribed exercise routines under therapist supervision
  • Ensure proper setup and breakdown of treatment areas
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate observations to physical therapists
  • Maintain accurate patient care documentation
  • Assist with patient scheduling and clinic workflow
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong knowledge of physical therapy procedures and medical terminology
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Physical stamina to assist patients and stand for extended periods
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Detail-oriented approach to patient care and documentation
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Current CPR certification
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy requirements
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and infection control procedures
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings or evenings as needed, possible weekends
