Your Role QTC Medical Group Inc., dbaQTC Medical Group California: As an Audiologist with QTC MedicalGroup Inc., dba QTC Medical Group California, a Leidos QTC HealthService affiliated professional corporation, you will apply theprinciples of hearing science and audiology to formulate anIndependent Medical Opinion (IMO) and/or independent medical examto a unique claimant population of past and present militaryservice members. The scope of practice of the audiologist is toprovide a professional opinion to the severity of the hearingproblem, the diagnosis, the causation, and assessing theprobability that the hearing problem is related to militaryservice. Pay Range: Salary: $90k-$170k w/ quarterly bonuseligibility (Based on combination of relevant experience,education, and other relevant qualifications) Work Schedule,Location, and Other Information: Generally Mon-Fri (between 7am-6pm), with weekend/evening schedules based on operational needs.Clinic Address- 77 Scripps Dr, Suite 202, Sacramento, CA 95825 3weeks onboarding / training. 12-20 patients daily (depending onexam duration and complexity) with built in admin time. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for administering and interpreting a variety of teststo determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, such as airand bone conduction, and speech reception and discrimination tests,the site of damage, and effects on comprehension and speech.Evaluates test results in relation to behavioral, social,educational and conduct medical record reviews of past audiogramsand documents to determine the likely cause of the hearing loss,and to state the prognosis and address the issues of hearing lossand tinnitus. Operates computerized programs and utilizesapplication software and databases in order to enter, modify, andaccess information into/from electronic medical records, andutilizing report writing formats. Maintains patient confidentialitywith written and verbal information per HIPAA. Responsible forconducting otoscopic examinations, cerumen management, andcalibration checks of audiometric equipment. Lead paraprofessionalstaff training for Audiology specific skills and certifications asrequired by all LOB. Completion of Veterans Benefits AdministrationDisability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs). You will also have theability to travel (up to 50%) to provide audiology examinations forclients in multiple locations throughout the country. Competencies:Demonstrates compassion, professionalism, and a commitment toproviding excellent customer service and care to the claimants.Collaborative, best proactive and informed standard ofcare-centric, decision-making skills. Analytical ability necessaryto evaluate and determine medical opinions. Technically competentwith computers/tablets to include proficiency with Microsoft OfficeSuite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and using ElectronicMedical Records. Knowledge of workplace health and safety conceptsand OSHA regulations. Required Education and/or Experience:(includes certificate & licenses) Doctorate Degree in Audiology(Au. D) from an accredited college or university is required. 5years of clinic practice experience. Professional experiencedirectly related or desire to work with Compensation and PensionExamination, and experience with hearing conservation programs/andor noise conservation programs preferred but not required.Currently licensed Audiologist in state employed and license shallbe unrestricted. American Speech-Language-Hearing Association(ASHA) and/or American Academy of Audiology (AAA) certificationprior to hire. Will reimburse for cost. Must be able tosuccessfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI)background investigation. Must be eligible to obtain and maintainGovernment Clearances (LARS/Public Trust Clearance, etc. Receive amedical clearance that may consist of passing an N95 respirator fittest and properly wear organizational standard respiratoryprotective equipment as required. Pass a Tuberculosis/TB test andreceive a Hepatitis A/B vaccine series or pass a Hepatitis A/BTiter test.
