Speech / Language Pathologist

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Massachusetts licensure in Speech
- SEI endorsement, preferred
- Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology preferred
- An in-depth knowledge of speech language disorders as they relate to the learning abilities/disabilities of children
- Such other alternatives as the Superintendent of Schools may deem acceptable and appropriate
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide direct services for eligible students as articulated by the Individualized Education Program
- Administer assessments/evaluations for students with suspected disabilites in the area of communication
- Develop goals and objectives for eligible students with communication disabilities
- Collaborate with the IEP Team in developing educational plans for students with individual communication needs
- Work with administrators, educators, support personnel, families and community meemberts to identify and meet student needs
- Support students with medically and physically complex conditions when it affects educational performance
- Support students with alternative and augmentative communication needs
- Actively engage as a partner in the Instructional Support Team process to support our multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS)
- Participate in Speech Language quarterly meetings and professional development
- Such other responsibilities as may from time to time be assigned by the Principal and/or Director of Student Services
SALARY: In accordance with FEA Unit A Contract
