Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Audiologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of auditory physiology and be adept at conducting diagnostic evaluations to assess hearing and balance disorders. This role involves working closely with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, to provide comprehensive audiological care and support.
Duties
Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations to assess hearing loss and balance disorders.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding test results, treatment options, and ongoing care.
Maintain accurate patient records using computerized systems, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards.
Utilize organizational skills to manage patient appointments, follow-ups, and documentation efficiently.
Educate patients on the use of hearing aids and assistive listening devices.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care for patients.
Stay updated on advancements in audiology practices and technologies.
Qualifications
A Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) or equivalent degree is required.
Strong knowledge of physiology related to the auditory system.
Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation techniques and medical terminology.
Familiarity with computerized record management systems, including Excel for data tracking.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.
Experience in sales is a plus, particularly in promoting audiological products or services.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques is desirable for maintaining a safe clinical environment.
Previous experience working with pediatric patients is an advantage but not mandatory.
