The Central Employee Services Division (CESD) in the Department of Human Resources (DHR) seeks an experienced and task oriented professional to serve as an Employee Wellness Program Manage r (Project/Program Manager II) for the Balanced You Well-being team.
The Employee Wellness Program Manage r plays a vital role in supporting the well-being of all King County employees. This position reports to the Employee Social Impact and Well-Being Manager and will manage and support various wellness programming, operations, and initiatives while collaborating with other team members to ensure seamless program delivery across the Balanced You portfolio. Specifically, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating on-site health clinics, employee engagement activities, performance metric tracking and data management, and operational logistics for the Balanced You team to help ensure every King County employee has the opportunity to thrive.

Work Schedule This non-represented position is non-exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is therefore overtime eligible. Employees are paid on a bi-weekly schedule, every other Thursday, comprising a 40-hour workweek, normally 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.Key Responsibilities
- Wellness Programming
- Apply equity and social justice principles to all areas of work, such as accessibility, engaging non-desked skilled employees, using plain and equitable language, and treating everyone with respect.
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver on-site employee engagement and well-being activities including vaccine clinics across 30+ worksites, wellness programming, and other engagements.
- Manage class registrations, listings, attendance tracking, and operational logistics of delivery both in-person and virtually.
- Coordinate and collaborate with Health and Wellness vendors on well-being deliverables and communications.
- Deliver education, communication, and outreach to employees.
- Internal Collaboration and Communication
- Provide support to King County employees seeking well-being resources in-person and virtually.
- Respond to, with the team, employee and department inquiries.
- Coordinate evaluation, review, and feedback processes for program initiatives.
- Collaborate with the team and internal communications on the team SharePoint, drafting and proofing communications.
- Performance metric tracking and data management
- Track and analyze performance metrics to assess program effectiveness.
- Prepare reports and analysis to support program improvements.
- Develop, maintain, and update database records to track program deliverables.
- Develop program recommendations.
- Team Collaboration
- Work effectively with Balanced You team members to achieve employee well-being goals and contribute to program improvements.
- Step in to support colleagues as needed to ensure uninterrupted services.
- Participate in internal meetings to contribute to wellness program improvements.

Minimum Qualifications:
Eligible applicants must demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of experience in program/project management, coordination, operations, or logistical experience with knowledge of project/program management principles; OR
Any equivalent combination of experience and education which provides the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge, and ability required to perform the work.
- Strong organizational, communication, and data analysis skills.
- Ability to perform moderately complex analytical work related to wellness program outcomes.
- Experience, training, education, or certification in a health and/or wellness field.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team.
- Skilled in gathering, manipulating and using data utilizing a computer and other tools such as Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and presentation skills, including the effective use of visuals and graphics in communication.
- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office software - including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams.
- Intermediate skills in digital collaboration and virtual delivery tools such as Microsoft Teams Webinar or Zoom.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience managing, delivering, or coordinating on-site vaccine clinics or employee wellness programs.
- Familiarity with King County employee benefits and wellness resources.
- Proficiency in database management, analysis, and reporting.
- Advanced training, education, or certification in an employee or workplace health and/or wellness.
Necessary Special Requirements
- Ability to move and lift up to 20 pounds.
- A valid Washington State Driver's license to operate a Non-Revenue County Vehicle or the ability to travel to remote King County worksites in a timely fashion to places where public transportation may not be readily available.

Teleworking Requirement
The Department of Human Resources has a hybrid workforce with employees working both onsite and from home. The work associated with this position is currently being performed in a hybrid fashion including teleworking, complemented with onsite work and meetings as needed. Frequency of onsite work will vary based on business and operational needs. Employees must reside in Washington State and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements. King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely.
Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a home workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours.
