Job Description


A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to provide specialized support in a K-12 school setting. This part-time contract role is designed for candidates passionate about making a positive impact on the communication development of young students.

Location: Mentor, OH
Duration: School Year (NSY)
Schedule: Approximately 15 hours per week
Student Grade Levels: Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade
Caseload: Approximately 20 students

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations
  • Write detailed assessment reports
  • Participate actively in Eligibility Team Review (ETR) and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
  • Provide direct therapy services tailored to individual student needs
  • Deliver itinerant service provision across classrooms as required

Student Population: The caseload includes students with mild, moderate, and severe needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), intellectual disabilities, and/or developmental delays.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathology license with CCC certification
  • Experience with pediatric populations, preferably within educational settings
  • Ability to manage caseload independently and provide itinerant services
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals
