Job Requirements
Candidates must be certified as a Speech & Language Pathologist by the Rhode Island Department of Education.Preference will be given to candidates who hold or can demonstrate progress towards an English as a Second Language certification issued by the Rhode Island Department of Education. Preference will be given to applicants who meet the Awareness or Proficiency requirement per the RI Right to Read Act | (FAQ RI Right to Read Act) Please include a cover letter, current resume and three recent professional letters of reference.If offered a position with North Providence Public Schools, you are required to obtain a national criminal background check with fingerprinting obtained at the State Attorney General's Office.If your background check is returned and acceptable for employment, you will be asked to return to complete onboarding paperwork to include the "Employment Eligibility Verification, USCIS I-9" as required by the Department of Homeland Security. Here you will attest to your employment authorization and must also provide acceptable documents evidencing identity and employment authorization.
