This position seeks a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certified with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to provide essential services within a K-12 educational environment. The role is based onsite in Springfield, IL and spans the full 2025-2026 school year, offering a contract opportunity with a standard 37.5-hour workweek. This position supports students with a diverse range of speech and language disabilities across multiple grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 50-60 students
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services tailored to individual needs
- Support a variety of speech and language disabilities across K-12 students
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and district regulations
- Participate in ongoing professional development and interdisciplinary team meetings
Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathology endorsement
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) preferred
- Experience in pediatric and school-based settings highly desirable
- Familiarity with teletherapy is beneficial, though this role is primarily onsite
- Current knowledge of school district policies and state-specific requirements
- Strong communication and organizational skills
