Position Summary:
The Audiologist II performs audiological diagnosis, case coordination, and treatment for a wide variety of patients, including those who are medically complex. This role serves as a consultant and educator to interns, externs, and other clinical staff and may also engage in research and administrative functions as assigned. The Audiologist II works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver family-centered, evidence-based care in a pediatric setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts comprehensive audiological evaluations, interprets diagnostic results, and develops individualized case management and treatment plans for pediatric patients, including those with complex medical needs.
- Counsels patients and families, coordinates care with interdisciplinary teams, and provides guidance on hearing technologies, communication strategies, and follow-up services.
- Supports clinical operations, contributes to quality improvement and research initiatives, and provides training and supervision to audiology externs, fellows, and new staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Master's Degree or Doctorate in Audiology from an accredited program required
Licensure/Certification:
- Current Massachusetts license as an Audiologist required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from ASHA or board certification from the American Board of Audiology required
Experience:
- Pediatric audiology experience strongly preferred
- Experience with medically complex or developmentally delayed populations is a plus
- Prior supervision or teaching experience desirable
