Summary of Performance Expectations Evaluates patients referred for speech and/or language deficits/disorders cognitive and or swallowing dysfunction. Develops, communicates, coordinates, implements, monitors and revises treatment plan with goal of maximizing patient's capabilities. Coordinates care with family and other care providers. Responsible for the routine day to day operations of the speech language pathology service. Supervises clinical activities of Speech Language Pathologists working in IP rehab and acute therapy and SLP and other students as assigned. Education and Credentials: Required: Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology. Current NC license or license eligibility as a Speech/Language Pathologist in NC. BCLS for healthcare providers or completion of BCLS from the American Heart Association within three months of employment date. Preferred: Certification in Surgical Technology . Work Experience: Required: Three years of clinical practice in treating patients in an in-patient hospital setting. Given training and on-the-job experience incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date. Preferred: One year management experience.
