A position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certified with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), specializing in pediatrics and experienced in school-based speech therapy. This role is based in Lancaster, CA, supporting students on-site during the 2024-2025 academic year. This is a contract opportunity within a school setting, focused on delivering direct services to students.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Valid and active SLP - CCC credential
- Experience working with pediatric populations in educational environments
- Familiarity with speech therapy practices for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Comfortable delivering in-person therapy sessions with a caseload of school-age students
- Knowledgeable about Teletherapy and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) requirements, although this role is strictly in-person
- Understanding of Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) use and collaboration within the school setting
Location:
- In-person services provided exclusively at the Lancaster, CA campus
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs, with a focus on those diagnosed with Autism
- Provide direct speech therapy interventions in one-on-one or small group settings
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy approaches accordingly
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
