A healthcare setting in North Hollywood, CA is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapeutic support primarily within pediatric and school environments. This contract role offers the chance to deliver teletherapy and in-person services, working closely with individuals across a variety of communication needs.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, or eligibility to obtain it
- State licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure for California
- Experience in healthcare, pediatric, school-based, or teletherapy settings
- Familiarity with Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) collaboration is a plus
- Knowledge of AAC devices and individualized education program (IEP) processes preferred
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations to identify speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Design and implement personalized treatment plans based on clinical assessments and patient needs
- Utilize evidence-based interventions to enhance communication and swallowing abilities
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to therapy plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including educators, healthcare providers, and families
- Deliver therapy services via teletherapy platforms as well as onsite when required
