Salary: $1575 / Week
Amergis Staffing is seeking a Speech Language Pathology Assistant for the 2025/2026 school year in Exeter, CA.
Must hold an AA/AS or a BA/BS degree in an approved Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program and hold a valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Registration through the California Speech-Language Pathology Board.
August 5th start date
37.5 hours per week
$40-45 per hour depending upon experience
Under general supervision required to maintain Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license, the SLPA will, assist in providing speech therapy services to identified students in accordance with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals; perform a variety of duties in support of student case management services; maintain records and documentation students; perform related duties as assigned. Knowledge of: Speech and Language Pathology equipment, materials and procedures; Language development in children; Articulation development, learning patterns in children and student behavior; English usage, punctuation, spelling and grammar; Basic arithmetic concepts, simple record keeping and record management; Public education goals and objectives; Learning problems of children with special educational needs; Personal computers and software, including word processing, learning and education software, and augmentative communication devices and systems. Spanish speaking preferred Ability to: Effectively and tactfully communicate in both oral and written form; Maintain student performance documentation; Assist a Speech and Language Pathologist; Operate standard office equipment including computer, copier, fax machine, etc.; Learn and utilize current speech and language methods and procedures to be followed in an instructional setting.
EXPERIENCE: One year of experience working with or as an SLPA in the public or private school setting. Any other combination of training and/or experience that could likely provide the desired skills, knowledge or abilities may be considered.
