Job Summary:
We are seeking a licensed and motivated Physical Therapist to join our occupational medicine team. This role focuses on treating work-related musculoskeletal injuries and supporting employees in their safe and timely return to work. The ideal candidate will have a strong orthopedic background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for collaborative, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and treat patients with work-related injuries using evidence-based physical therapy techniques
Develop customized treatment and rehabilitation plans, including modified duty and return-to-work programs
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
Provide patient education on injury prevention, ergonomics, and safe return-to-work practices
Document patient care thoroughly and accurately using EMR systems
Participate in clinical team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
Uphold compliance with all applicable regulations and organizational policies
Required Qualifications:
Active Physical Therapist License in the state of California
Minimum of 1 year of experience (preferred) in outpatient orthopedics or occupational health settings
Strong understanding of musculoskeletal and repetitive use injuries
Proficient in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual in Spanish
Experience working in an occupational medicine or workers' compensation environment
Familiarity with return-to-work protocols and ergonomic assessments
