Speech Language Pathologist

Speech-Language Pathologist Overview: UR Jones Memorial Hospital is seeking a full-time dedicated and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dynamic and experienced rehabilitation department. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact by evaluating and treating patients with communication and swallowing disorders across the lifespan. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate, diagnose, and manage speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Perform modified barium swallow studies (preferred, but willing to train if needed). Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital and medical standards. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care. Supervise and mentor non-certified personnel, support staff, and speech-language pathology students in clinical practicum. Participate in hospital-wide and departmental quality management programs, identifying opportunities for patient care improvement. Ensure adherence to all hospital policies, Medical Staff Bylaws, and professional regulations. Engage in ongoing professional development and remain current on industry best practices. Qualifications & Requirements: Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Licensure & Certification: Valid New York State Speech-Language Pathology license. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred). Experience: Previous experience in performing modified barium swallow studies is preferred. Training will be provided if needed. Skills: Strong diagnostic, therapeutic, and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare setting; commitment to patient-centered care.
