A collaborative and student-focused school district in San Francisco, CA is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) for the 20252026 school year . This full-time, school-based opportunity offers the chance to work with K12 students , supporting their ability to fully participate in school routines, academic tasks, and daily activities through therapeutic interventions.
The OT will work closely with educators, families, and related service providers to develop strategies that promote independence and access to learning in inclusive educational settings.
Responsibilities:Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students across K12
Conduct assessments and develop individualized therapy plans based on student needs
Develop and implement IEP goals aligned with educational and developmental objectives
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team discussions and planning
Address key skill areas including fine motor coordination , sensory processing , self-help , and functional participation
Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support accommodations and classroom modifications
Maintain comprehensive documentation of services, progress, and compliance with school and state requirements
Requirements:
Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
Current Occupational Therapist License issued by the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT)
Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
Must meet California state and federal requirements for school-based practice
Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
Strong understanding of IEP development , educational law, and pediatric therapy best practices
Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
