We are seeking a**dedicated Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapist (CRT)**for our**Brain Injury Support Services (BISS) program**in**Greenville, NC**. The BISS program provides a very holistic approach to employment, blending cognitive rehabilitation therapy with pre-vocational skills development to help consumers secure and maintain employment.

The Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapist (CRT) will develop and coordinate holistic, individualized service plans that address both cognitive and vocational goals. Key responsibilities include providing individual counseling, case management and resource connection, developing and utilizing compensatory tools and strategies to help consumers overcome cognitive deficits, and assisting with job development, job search, and employment support. The CRT will collaborate with employers, educate professionals on brain injury awareness, and advocate for inclusive hiring practices. Additionally, the CRT will provide ongoing job coaching and long-term follow-up to ensure job retention, all while maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to confidentiality and funding guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with individuals, families, and community partners to develop and evaluate individualized service plans focused on cognitive and vocational goals.

2. Provide individual counseling to address cognitive, behavioral, emotional, and vocational challenges.

3. Develop and teach interventions to help individuals strengthen, modify, or compensate for cognitive deficits.

4. Assist with career goal setting, job search, and job development activities, including employer outreach and labor market research.

5. Support consumers through job applications, interviewing, onboarding processes, and provide on-site coaching.

6. Educate and consult with employers and professionals on brain injury awareness and inclusive hiring practices.

7. Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with team members to achieve program goals.

Minimum Requirements:

***Education:***

Masters degree in human services, education, counseling or a related field is required.

***Experience:***

- At least**3 years of direct experience**working with individuals with neurological disorders.

- At least**1 year of experience**providing cognitive retraining.

- Preferred: 4 years of experience in cognitive retraining and evaluation and 1 year of job development and training.

- A strong background in both cognitive rehabilitation and vocational counseling.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

- A passion for supporting individuals with brain injuries in achieving independence and employment success.

- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
