Licensed Mental Health Counselor Job Corrales, NM K-12 Full-Time Onsite

Location: Rio Rancho, NM
Position Type: Full Time, Onsite
Schedule: Monday Friday, 37.5 40 hours/week

Overview:
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to support K12 students in the Rio Rancho, NM area for the upcoming school year. This role focuses on social, emotional, and behavioral support at one assigned school site (elementary, middle, or high school), based on district needs and candidate preference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support for students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs

• Implement Tier 1 interventions and support PBIS initiatives

• Collaborate with school staff, administrators, and families to create a positive, supportive environment

• Develop and implement behavioral intervention plans

• Work within a flexible caseload that may shift as district needs evolve

Requirements:

• Licensure from the New Mexico Board of Counseling and Therapy Practice for Mental Health Counseling (must be active; no pending licenses)

• New Mexico PED license (must be in hand before interviews or offers)

• Experience with PBIS and Tier 1 interventions strongly preferred

• Previous school-based counseling experience preferred
