School-Based SLP Gilroy, California

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available within a K-12 educational setting in Gilroy, CA. This full-semester contract role offers the opportunity to deliver specialized speech and language services to students across 7th to 12th grade, supporting their academic and communication development.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive speech-language evaluations and individualized therapy to a caseload of approximately 55 students.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans aligned with student needs and educational goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to monitor progress and adapt interventions as necessary.
• Maintain detailed documentation of student performance and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Qualifications:

• Must hold a current Speech-Language Pathology Credential in the state of California.
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Experience working with school-aged children, preferably within secondary education (grades 7-12).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 55 students effectively.
• Note: Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certification is not accepted for this position.
