Occupational Therapist Needed Help Students Build Skills in Boone County Schools

Boone County Schools is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to support students in developing fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills that promote success in school and daily activities. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a collaborative, student-centered team.

Position Overview:
As an OT, you will assess student needs, create individualized therapy plans, and deliver interventions that help students gain independence and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and prepare clear reports

• Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with IEP goals

• Address fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living abilities

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress

• Attend IEP meetings and contribute recommendations and updates

• Maintain documentation that meets district and state requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy

• Active Kentucky Occupational Therapy License

• Kentucky Department of Education Certification for School-Based OT

• School or pediatric experience preferred

• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Job Details:

• Type: Full-time, onsite

• Schedule: MondayFriday during school hours

• Caseload: K12 students (assignments determined by district needs)
